Here's a little bit about myself:

My name is Philip Dean Gray

I was born in London, England in 1960, I am now based in Sydney Australia having moved here in 2001 along with my wife, and 2 children.

I am a completely self-taught artist, specializing in a realistic style using color Pencils. (I also use graphite pencils on occasion as well).

My style has often been compared to that acheived by airbrush.

When I first started taking art seriously (back in the late 1970's), there was no internet, no forums to help out with art related questions, it was just hours and hours of practice and a little help from some art books borrowed from the local library and some that I had purchased.

I love to experiment with new ideas and I am always striving to improve my technique.

My favorite subject/genre is :Pin-up (modern and older style), Gothic, Dark Angels in fact anything fantasy related.

I have also been known to tackle many other subjects from time to time including :

celebrities, cats and dogs, birds, Motor Cars and Still Life.
